Speeches About Foxes

Year 2 prepared and presented speeches about Foxes.

We are reading the book, Fox by Margaret Wild. To help us understand the character of Fox, we researched foxes and then presented our findings to the class. The students also created a poster to help them present their speech in a more interesting manner.

The students presented their speech to a group of peers and then each group chose a member to present their speech to the whole class.

Speaking skills are improving. Next week we will concentrate on our Listening skills.

The topic for the speech in Week 4 - Bring in a photo or toy that parents/grandparents played with. The students are to identify how the toy is recognised as one from the past.

  1. What a great idea! Foxes are remarkable souls. I have a family that occasionally visits my backyard here in North Carolina. They are gray in color and usually come out only at night. I would love to hear some of your presentations. Are you learning to video tape them?
