Creative and Critical Inquirers

Our Stage 2 students have been working very hard throughout Term 1 in Geography. The culmination of the Unit of Work was to redesign Billa Road Oval so that it would be more useful for the community.

The students worked individually at first to create their own ideas for the oval. They discussed their ideas with their team members and then they needed to be critical about what aspects of each others designs to include or exclude.

The final designs were displayed for all to view.

The students are learning to be Creative and Critical Inquirers.

Maths Groups about Mass

Today we had Maths Groups all about Mass.
We made a craft about heavier and lighter.
We had to find the mass of a stapler, a rubber, a glue stick and hand sanitiser.
With Miss Plummer we had to weigh the red and blue blocks and add colours to change the mass.
Year 2 learnt lots and had a great time. Thanks to the mums who came to help.

Mission Week - What a celebration!

Last week we had a fabulous time celebrating!

The teachers had fun presenting a skit called 'The Lost Sheep'.

Mr Bowden lost his phone and the whole of the Junior School was looking for it.

The students played 'pass the parcel' and found the words to our memory verse...

Throughout the week, the students were involved in lots of activities that were based around the idea of lost and found...

stories, craft, treasure hunt and looking for sheep and coins around the classrooms.

Each student was given a goodie bag on Friday. Have a look inside...there is something for the parents as well.
