History - Toys - Past to Present

Stage 1 launched their History study for Term 1 today. All the students were excited to learn that we would be thinking about TOYS and in particular making toys for a group of students in Uganda. We viewed a clip about schools in Uganda and life for children in that country. We compared it to life in Australia. We looked at Google Earth to see where in the world Uganda is...
When we got back to class the students were asked to reflect on their learning. This is what some of the students said...
Stephanie -
Goats can walk in the playground.
Jake -
They use interesting things to make soccer balls.

In the schools the students can have more than one hundred students in a class and only one teacher.
