Assembly Item

Year 2 performed their Assembly Item last Friday. The Assembly Item was a drama skit about the parable of the Great Banquet told by Jesus. In the parable the master is like God who invites all people to be part of his family all we need to do is accept his invitation. Year 2 performed wonderfully and confidently!

Literacy activities after reading Florette by Anna Walker

Year 2 read the book Florette by Anna Walker today.

After Mae moved from her home to a new residence she did not have her beautiful garden to enjoy so she created her own.

The students used their imaginations, like Mae, to create a garden by drawing on the concrete or using boxes to create a garden.

Speech Making

Year 2 students looked at an image and planned a speech. The students had to think about standing confidently, speaking clearly, looking at the audience and thinking of interesting ideas to engage the audience. Here are the students thinking about how they will present the speeches.

Grandparents' Day

What a lovely day we had today. The Year 2 classrooms were buzzing as many grandparents visited the learning space. The children really enjoyed giving the grand tour and then sitting down and showing their books and artworks. What a precious memory for all! Thank you to those grandparents who adopted a grandchild for the day. The atmosphere was outstanding.
