What fun and adventures the Year 2 student experienced as they looked for appropriate sticks to build a Tee Pee.

STEM - Creating a Tee Pee

The students had a lot of fun and practice working in teams yesterday. We chatted about the background of a Tee Pee. Who used them? What country did they originate in and what they were originally made of?
Off to the bush at Billa Road to find appropriate sticks.
Teamwork to plan the construction and then given a time limit of 30 minutes, the students were asked to create a tee pee out of sticks, newspaper and tape that could hold one person.
The results were very interesting. Not only the structures but the results of working in teams.
