No Speaking and Listening Homework this week.

Due to the busyness of the week and the two excursions, we will postpone the Speaking and Listening homework until next week. Enjoy the Spelling, Reading and the Maths.

Learning Intentions:

Expressive Reading 1

Choose one of the pieces of writing from the pieces that are available at school.

Think about how you will make the piece sound interesting to the class.

Remember to use expression, look at your audience at times and maybe use some gestures.

I have included the Learning Intentions because this is part of each lesson.

Reading -  15 minutes each night. 

Please fill out the Home Reading Log and return after every 20 books read.

Spelling - write out the 5 words, complete the phoneme fingers and the spelling activity. 

This week write the words and get someone to time how quickly you can write them correctly.

Maths - complete the Maths activities in the homework book - Mark on Thursday night when the answers will be added to the Year 2 class blog.

Learning to be a Weather Forecaster

Today Year 2 started their unit UP, DOWN AND ALL AROUND.

The students are planning to improve the weather forecasts and so they started to learn about clouds. They used the iPads to take photos of the clouds and then enjoyed a Gallery walk to see everyone's best photo.
